He met my parents/date 2

So J  met my parents yesterday.

J and I had a date yesterday. This is the short version of what happened .We went to get HeBrewz Coffee and then to Carbondale for the day to walk abound and pick up stuff for dinner that night.  We went to the Co-op for lunch, walked around the mall, Lost track of time, got groceries, cooked dinner, watched some TV and he headed home.


He and my dad hit it off. At first J. was calling my dad Mr. Lastname. Dad told him to call him by his first name. They talked about bluegrass music, zydeco and war movies. And apparently about me :) J. Told me about that later.  Mom was sick and waved "hi".

Todays topics

So today we talked about a ton of things, but the top 3 were :

Music- 40's-current.. HE sang "I wanna hold your hand.." It got stuck in my head.

Movies- Adam Sandler- 50 1st dates, The Water boy, Pixels.. I haven't seen the Water boy so we added it to the list of movies to eventually see. He is going to watch "Bedtime stories" with me as he hasn't seen that one.. And McHale's Navy.

An explanation

Hi Everyone ,

So I had this idea, I met a wonderful Godly man that I believe is the one that God has chosen for me. I am writing this blog as a series of posts that will all go active at some point in the future as a gift. He has no idea that I am writing this, and so I want to keep it a secret, but at the same time document some of the thoughts for him that run through my head at warp speed.

He is 30, and is a mature Christian. He makes me feel safe and loved.

smart- and knows I am smart too

respects my boundaries

full of puns
sarcastic
makes me laugh...

and from day one has been honest with me about his intentions. He believes that I am the woman that God chose for him, and we have been very clear about the hoped outcome. The plan currently is to take our time, but it feels like this is what God wants.
